magazine draft no.1
This is the first draft of my magazine. It is not a completed work and is simply a way of viewing my sketches in a more realistic format. To change this, I will be editing my front page image and altering the background. The contents page needs filling up, and the design of the twitter and Facebook section needs rethinking. Altogether the page is too cramped but does not contain enough to fill both pages and the connotations of a rock magazine display that a 1 page contents page is more common than two.
The page featuring photo's taken of the band appear to be a nice idea, although it could work over one page and not two. The pull quote used is a nice quote from the articles interview, although it does not seem to relate enough to the page.
The double page spread needs a lot of work, as the photos used need to display all band members together as a group and not as 3 separate artists. The writing is also not visible enough with the background being an image. I will need to redo the entire page soon.

Draft front cover, contents and double page spread
These images are important as they will work as the most basic layout for my magazine, and allow me to start on a solid surface and simply replace coloured boxes with writing.

sketches
The sketches drawn prior to the creation of the magazine are important as they give me an idea of what I'm aiming to create, this means that if i loose track of what I'm doing, looking at these sketches reminds me of what i was aiming for.
The sketches do not have to look amazing, as all they need to do is provide an extremely rough draft that i can relate to later
