project log
This week i have started collecting together the models required for my photoshoot. using an actual band means that live photo's from their performances can be used on my contents page, to contrast the cover photo from the shoot i am planning. I still need to get them to sign the forms required, and then i need to work on collecting a time for the shoot. For the image itself im am going for a classic look, with all the band members i need present, whilst also highlighting all the features of steampunk i need, maybe even tinting the image to enhance the colours.

I have so far completed the work set over half term, and I'm looking into completing the proposal currently. The steampunk work has died down slightly, as I need to follow what the audience want, and too much steampunk limits the audience greatly and I cannot have that. Instead, I will only feature a small amount of steampunk, and focus more on the rock and goth genre.

Project Log 08/10/2013
This lesson I have worked on my mood board and looked more into the steampunk style that I am choosing to do as my magazine theme. With steampunk on the uprise I described what it involves, what is similar in music, and appereances.
I Am also looking into Idea's for the name of my magazine. With Very few, if any, magazines having a similar style to mine I had to look into what steampunk means and so then look at what might work as my title.

For the last 2 weeks I have been completing my preliminary task. This has involved taking photos, designing a hand drawn version of my magazine and finally creating a computer version of this design.
The first lesson we were unleashed onto Haydon in search of photos and found that one of the building and one of the students created a contrast that nicely represented Haydon. Finally choosing to take one of the half-destroyed St. Mary’s gym and a portrait photo of myself and a female student (Natalie Rogers) in business dress holding onto an Ipad. These photos on reflection should have both been portrait and the shot of me and Natalie should have been closer to improve the quality when it came to the actual magazine.
We then went on to design the magazine on the Adobe Indesign. This involved looking at what i would need to put into the magazine cover, and then looking into how it actually looks.
Finally we added in the photo and added a title above it and filled in the content page. this involved
