Masthead design

This is the design for my masthead. It features a red and black colour scheme that will hopefully match my magazine

This is the new image for my magazine that has been changed during the creation of the magazine itself as the black writing that featured in the previous masthead did not stand out from the background

Contact sheet

It was through reviewing these contact sheets that I was able to find the best photos to use throughout my magazine. This involved looking over the photos carefully to ensure that I could quickly find the best photo for the right page, and the use of a contact sheet is to easily compare similar photos.

interview
You wanted to know more from our bands, and what better opportunity to do this than with our new group: Blurred Generation as they come from their first major gig!
I go to talking to their extremely charismatic lead guitarist; Harry St John about this gig, and follow up with some questions posted by you the Fans. As always we receive a combination of wisdom and amusement that we know you guys love. It’s always nice to talk to an upcoming band and find out about them just that little bit more.
So Harry, you played your first major gig recently, what’s it like heading out on stage for the first time to see a crowd like that?

Harry Saint John: It was a bit daunting as we walked on stage, but I always feel very at home when performing because it's what I love doing, so it was good after the initial worry

So, I hear that you've known your fellow band members for a while, have you guys ever fallen out in the past?

Harry Saint John: We constantly fall out to tell you the truth! Only last week a member walked out before the talent show, however like a good bandleader I consolidated the situation and all was well

So, after a performance or recording session, what do you do to chill out?

Harry Saint John: Well, Me and the bassist usually go and chill at our respective houses and play some video games, also I like a Starbucks to relax, I can't function without my coffee!

Spoken like a true band member! I've heard that you guys have worked on a few charity events helping out close friends, Do you think that we'll see any charity based concerts in the future?

Harry Saint John: Well don't expect us to be on live aid any time soon! But yeah, we're up for any charity events, in fact on some weekends I go to a local charity shop and perform to the people shopping there me and Emily also perform to a local club of elderly people at a local club!

Well, you are “Saint” like! (He did not find this as funny as I did) anyway, who would you class as your inspiration for going into music?

Harry Saint John: Definitely, 100% Billie Joe Armstrong, he didn't come from a particularly musical background, like myself, and he's got to be one of the most famous people of the 21st century!
